Compassionate Couch Therapy

Supporting teens and adults through life’s transitions
with warmth, expertise, and compassion.

Welcome and Thank You for Visiting!

Reaching out for support is a meaningful step—and it takes courage. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to gain a stronger sense of balance and control, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help.

Because every person’s story is unique, I offer a personalized approach to therapy, drawing from methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, EMDR, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and dialectical behavioral therapies (DBT). My goal is to provide a welcoming, compassionate space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported on your path to healing.

Feel free to reach out anytime at jedwards@couchtherapymi.com or give me a call at 616-227-0806.

Julie Edwards, Therapist

Julie Edwards, MA, LPC

As a therapist, I’m passionate about supporting people through life’s transitions and personal challenges. I work with both teens and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, mood disorders, behavioral struggles, and the emotional impact of neurological conditions.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2011. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in neuropsychological assessment and in helping individuals and families facing issues like anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, dementia, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries. I also have specialized training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-focused CBT.

It would be my honor to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and a more peaceful life.
